The closing date for acceptance of any motion of business not relating to the ordinary annual business of the The Regals is 5.00pm on 11 December 2024.
All motions of business must be sent in writing/email from Full Members of The Regals Musical Society to [email protected].

Call for Nominations for Office-bearers and Directors
In accordance with Clause 14.1 of the Constitution of the The Regals Musical Society, Inc, a call for nominations for the positions of office-bearers and Committee Members is also being issued.
All current committee members will stand down, and all positions will be available for nomination. For more information about these positions, please contact the Committee at [email protected].
There are seven positions up for election this year each with a term of one year. These are:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Committee Members (three vacancies)
The Regals Musical Society is a registered charity. Therefore, please note that, as a Committee Member, you will be registered as a Responsible Person and a Director of the society with the Australian Charities and Nonprofits Commission.
The closing date for the nomination of committee members is 5.00pm on 11 December, 2024.
All nominations for office-bearers or Committee Members must be on the Nomination Form, including digital signature. Nominees will be contacted to confirm their acceptance of the nomination.
REGALS MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS FOR VOTING & NOMINATIONS:
Only Full Members of the society are eligible to nominate, vote on or stand for any position on the Management Committee.
Per section 2(1) of the constitution, a Full Member is:
- Any person, 18 years or older, who is a financial member, and has been so for a period exceeding 6 months, and
- Has submit an application for Membership, which has been approved.
Kindly note that, in order to vote, Life Members must fill out the Annual Membership Form, and accept the Code of Conduct of the society. There is no membership fee payable to Life Members.
NOMINATION FOR LIFE MEMBERSHIP:
Per the constitution – 2(1)(a)(iv):
- The society may confer the honour of Life Membership on a Member of the Society or a volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the work of the society by a resolution of the membership.
Please include the name, and contact details of the person you are nominating for life membership, along with the rationale for how they meet the criteria of a ‘significant contribution’ to the work of the society.
Any nominations for Life Membership that members wish to be considered at this AGM must reach the Committee by 5.00pm on 11 December 2024, at [email protected].
MEMBERS SOCIAL
The AGM will be followed by a Members Social event, for members of all ages (Junior Members must be accompanied by a parent/guardian).
